About the Studio

Founded within the legendary walls of Inner Ear Studios (known for recording DC’s punk and hardcore bands), Double Sharp Audio is located in downtown Del Rey in Alexandria, VA, near Arlington, VA and Old Town Alexandria. We work with musicians, podcasters, voice-over artists, and other creators to record the local sound and culture of Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.

Our professional team does everything to make sure that each project is an enjoyable experience for our clients. The team here at Double Sharp Audio is keen on giving our guests the best, most exciting and efficient experience possible. Our staff is dedicated to providing the best quality services for every one of our clients’ projects.


Co-Founder, Engineer

Deb Edattel

Deb Edattel is a co-owner of Double Sharp Audio. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Audio Technology at American University in Washington, D.C. Her clientele includes Baffin Records, Capitol One, National Museum of the American Indian, Novel Audio and many local bands. One of her favorite pastimes is squishing cantaloupes and crushing egg shells next to microphones (Foley sound effects). She is the mother of three young musicians.
